Drop your AVIF here or click to select
Sign in with a free account, then drop your AVIF on the upload box. Your browser opens the image and turns it into a PNG, keeping any transparency, and that PNG is traced into vector shapes. The conversion starts as soon as you pick the file. When the SVG appears, download it.
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can open AVIF. If your browser can't, the page tells you the image couldn't be read. Save it as a PNG or JPG first and use the PNG to SVG converter.

Before: AVIF, 600 × 600 pixels, 18 KB, transparent background. Shown here as a PNG.
After: SVG, 7.6 KB, 14 shapes in 14 colors.
AVIF is a newer format that many websites now serve in place of JPG and PNG, so an image saved from a web page is often an AVIF. It compresses well and can be transparent.
Most AVIF images are saved with lossy compression, which blurs colors slightly along edges. The tracer can turn that blur into thin extra shapes in colors close to the real ones. The star in the example has four colors, and its SVG has more. They are easy to merge with the Reduce colors slider in the SVG Editor.
A photo saved as AVIF converts too, but the SVG looks more like a painting of the photo and the file can get large.
Yes. The SVG is in full color: the tracer picks the colors from your image and fills each shape with one of them. Smooth blends can become SVG gradients.
You need a free account, which has a small weekly allowance shared with the AI generator and the background remover. The pricing page lists the paid plans.
